Valentino Couture

Elegance was the primary aesthetic of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli's creations for Valentino's Haute Couture show in Paris. Midnight blues and dusty pinks swept the runway with pierces of blood red, in chiffons and silks with the occasional embellishment. The dresses held their own with the scraped back hair of the statuesque models displaying minimal jewellery. I am sure any girl would dream of a Valentino Couture dress!

BOTM: Geneva, A Pair & a Spare

My second choice for 'blogger of the moment' is Geneva from DIY blog A Pair & a Spare. One of my first port of calls for inspiration, the lovely Geneva's fantastic creations enthuse even the most anti-DIY capable people! Some amazing creations on a budget - if only I had her patience! Check out her blog here.

Styling ASOS dress

Love my new ASOS purchase, can be dolled up for black tie, or worn with converse and a denim jacket for a summer bbq!

Carrot Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes as a thank-you for the ladies at Red Magazine. Although the icing was a little bit too sweet, I thought they went down a treat! The recipe is from Martha Stewart's book 'Cupcakes' which has an endless amount of weird and wonderful ideas. I couldn't get any shredded coconut so decorated with walnuts instead. Find the recipe here

Versace Couture

Paris witnessed a leather and blush toned start to couture season with the intricate dress designs of Donatella Versace. The innocent palette of neutral tones were sharply contrasted with bondage corset dresses as well as leather strapped killer heels. The typical Versace style was more refined and the outfits were offset by bevy of beauties with smokey eye make up and advertisement style blow dried locks!

Red touches

A few snapshots of some of my outfits worn for my internship at Red magazine!
