The Rodnik Band fashion label (you can check out there website
here), designed by Philip Colbert, is quirky and stretches the boundaries of art and fashion. Many of his playful ideas spring from mundane objects as well as from modern works of art such as Andy Warhol's Campbell soup tins. Colbert says that the label was "born out of the desire to shake the mould and re-contextualise fashion, present it in a different, lighter, more playful way." My favourite is the Mondrian style suit/dress which is next on my DIY list! Check out an interview of him
here, giving greater insight into his thought process and design ideas.
